Installation

Download and install Handrive on your computer.

Download

Visit handrive.app to download the latest version for your operating system.

Platform	Download
macOS	Handrive-x.x.x.dmg
Windows	Handrive-x.x.x.exe
Linux	Handrive-x.x.x.AppImage

macOS Installation

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
2. Drag the Handrive icon to your Applications folder
3. Open Handrive from your Applications folder
4. If prompted about an unidentified developer, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy and click Open Anyway

Windows Installation

1. Run the downloaded .exe installer
2. Follow the installation wizard
3. Launch Handrive from the Start menu or desktop shortcut

Linux Installation

AppImage

1. Make the AppImage executable: chmod +x Handrive-x.x.x.AppImage
2. Run the AppImage: ./Handrive-x.x.x.AppImage

Alternative: Run from terminal

./Handrive-x.x.x.AppImage

First Launch

When you first open Handrive, you'll see the login screen. You'll need to create an account or sign in to start using the app.

tip

Make sure you have an internet connection for the initial setup and account creation.

Updating Handrive

Handrive will notify you when updates are available. You can also check for updates manually:

1. Click your profile icon in the sidebar
2. Select About
3. The app will show your current version

To update, download the latest version from the website and install it over your existing installation.
